Tenacity Story

Founded: Tenacity Design & Publishing was founded in 2004 by Mel Constance

Story:  I went back to school at the age of 43 (in 2001) to change careers. It took me 4 ½ years to complete a 2 year certificate in graphic design. I learned print design for books and marketing materials and web site design.

After finishing school, I was inspired to write my first book “Drapery Workroom & Interior Decorators Pocket Guide of Yardage Charts” in 2006 to help decorators be more efficient and help them estimate yardage for each of their projects. I had been in the interior decorating business for 20+ years and had access to drapery workrooms, interior decorators and the enormous amount of yardage requirements for various window treatments, along with bedding, table and upholstery treatments. The amount of math and yardage errors that came to my attention from decorators who admitted that math was not always their strongest skill -  and were asking for help - was the reason I got inspired to write the book. The owners of the drapery company I worked for at the time had been in business for 40 years and were willing to help me put together an entire book of yardage charts for all standard items.

At the time of writing the drapery book, I also had an article on my desk (for months as inspiration) titled “Can’t get Published? Then just do it yourself.” It contained three successful authors that explained how to get published. After much research of the various ways to get published I decided that the best path for publishing for me was self-publishing for the drapery book. From 2008 to 2017 I was inspired to write my next 4 books, as Christian and pastor resource books, for helping to teach pastors, clergy, church leaders, Christians and Jews after the 40 years of religious and biblical studies I went through, and especially the ten years of intense biblical and religious schooling ending in the Spring of 2017.

My studies covered all the messages of the Bible, all the various religions and the religious teaching systems of theology and philosophy that is used in our world today for training pastors and other ministry professionals. My studies also included the Roman Catholicism system, Martin Luther’s reformation system, Judaism and the various curriculums taught in the universities and seminaries of what is being taught and not taught that should be.

The reason my studies included the entire religious teaching system was because I wanted answers to why evil exists, how it started and how it can be ended. So far I have not found any pastors, chruch leaders, religious educators or organizations that have given me the same adequate answers that God has given me in his word. Even pastors and ministry professionals have been asking “WHY to all the evil, diseases and disasters we have in the world now?” The lack of that information in our current religious system is a major cause of the rampant evils in our world today.

After writing my first Christian religious book I was determined to get it published on my own, as I was not going to allow any book publishers to tell me that I was not allowed to tell you the truth of the Bible and what I’ve learned. I was also not going to be rejected by the big publishers a dozen times or more and delay the much needed information I have that can change and even save peoples’ lives. Telling me “NO” to publishing my books is not an option I’ll settle for. Especially when I know that the principles God has taught me and I’ve written about have proven to work time and time again. All my other books have been self-published as well for the same reason.

It Takes a Lot of Tenacity

It takes a lot of tenacity to go back to school and change your career when you are in your 40’s. It takes even more tenacity to write and publish books when you are in your late 40’s and 50’s and self-publish them (all this was done while working full time in a regular job, and being single for the past 20+ years).  It is because of my tenaciousness to do these things that my publishing company has been named Tenacity Design & Publishing (TD&P). It has also been named Tenacity because I am tenacious in getting the answers we all need, and I want to be able to help people to stop their suffering and give them the answers they need to heal them.  It hurts my heart to see so many people hurting and dying - especially children - of diseases and evil attacks. No one else has stepped up to the plate to find the answers to “Why?” so I did. Somebody needed to. So if people are tired of the evil, being sick and living in fear of attacks, then now is the time to get the books that can actually help them.

Since finishing my studies in the Spring of 2017, I have gained a comprehensive education not taught anywhere else that has given me a deeper understanding of God’s biblical principles that I can now give help, answers and hope to hurting people everywhere including pastors and ministry people who want answers as well.

I am proud to say I am now a bibliologian (which is a person who studies the actual Bible messages) a theologian and an author and publisher. And I am a tenacious Bibliologian and theologian that holds firmly to the principles of the Bible and will continue to persistently publish and teach the principles the Great and Almighty God has taught me.

I strongly believe in the Holy Bible and confess that Messiah Yahshua (Jesus Christ) has come in the flesh (Rom 10:8-10; Phil 2:11; 1 John 4:2 & 15), is the one and only son of Yahweh (God), and was raised again on the third day to sit at the right hand of God Almighty. Yahshua is KING of kings and LORD of all.

If I did not believe in this, and did not personally experience God’s and Christ’s protection, healing, love, joy and peace of the Holy Spirit in my heart and in my life then I would not be doing and teaching all I have learned. You can be assured that I am of God and God dwells with me. (1 John 4:2 &15)

My Why?:  My “WHY?” for writing these religious books is because people, especially children are dying when they shouldn’t be. It absolutely breaks my heart to see so many sick and dying people, especially when I know how to save them with the information God has taught me. God never designed for our lives to be so full of diseases, disasters, problems and evil.  This is why He has trained me to help you.

God has been training me for ministry for the past 40 years and has given me the education to help you. My spiritual calling from God (as a Bibliologian and Theologian) is to help those who are believers in God and Christ that (actually want help) to change their lives for the better and give them the answers to their “tough life questions” no one else has been able to answer yet. Second Why?:  Because God is tired of being blamed for the evil Satan has created.  God wants people to know His real truth so they will stop hating Him and blaming Him for their diseases and problems.

Why I am a Bibliologian more than a Theologian.

A Bibliologian is – A student or specialist well versed in the books of the Bible and the biblical principles and messages it contains.

A Theologian is – a student of or a specialist in theology or a particular branch, school etc. of theology; often, specifically a person who expounds (explains) a specific theology or theological doctrine.  

Theology is – (Webster’s) (Established in 1821 AD) 1. The study of religious doctrines and matters of divinity; specifically the study of God and the relations between God, humankind, and the universe. 2. A specific formulation or systemization of religious doctrine or belief as set forth by a given religion or denomination or by one or more individuals. (Where in the Bible does God give them the authorization to do that?)

Notice that theology is the study of God and other religious doctrines. It is NOT the study of the actual Bible messages that God and Christ expect us to learn. In all the research I've done on theology schools, seminaries and curriculums, I have not found any indepth studies of the actual Bible messages. This is a major reason why many pastors cannot answer tough religious questions on why evil exists.

This is why I am a Bibliologian more than a Theologian. I have actually studied the Bible and ALL of its messages for our edification. But I can also explain the Bible and doctrine that God and Christ taught.

Edification is – [Act of building] An edifying or being edified; instruction; especially moral or spiritual instruction, improvement or enlightenment. Edify – to instruct in such a way as to improve, enlighten or uplift morally or spiritually.
