Bibliologian and Bibliology - Best Biblical Study
System and Religious Training for Christians,
Pastors and Church Leaders

In order to define what a bibliologian is, we first must explain why we need the word.
In today’s world we have only a few titles for the various career paths in the religious field. They include the titles of Bible scholar, theologian, pastor, minister or clergy to describe those who teach the contents of the Bible. Other titles include biblical historians and Biblicist or bibliolatry. None of these words truly incorporate the full meaning of what a bibliologian is or does.
Many Bible scholars concentrate much of their studies on the history of the Bible, the linguistics or literature of it, the historical settings of the individual writers, or the archeology of proving the existence of the people or places mentioned in it. Therefore the term “Bible Scholar” is not a good term to use to describe a person who studies the contents contained in it. Looking at the definition for the word “theologian” also shows it is not the right term to use for someone who studies the contents of the Bible.
It is for these reasons that we need a better alternative word to describe a person who studies the contents contained in the Bible.

What Is The Bible?

2 Tim 3:16 All scripture (entire Bible) is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness.
There are 16 books of prophets in the Old Testment Hebrew scriptures giving messages to God’s people Israel. (Isaiah through Malachi) The books of Joshua through Job list all the good or bad things the people were doing that pleased or displeased God. All the prophets spoke directly to them in messages.
The word prophet means – a person who speaks for God; gives messages. Malachi’s name means - my messenger.
John the Baptist is referred to as “the messenger” in Matt 11:10, Mark 1:2 and Luke 7:27.
All of this means the Bible is a book of instructions in the form of messages and principles from God to the people to teach them how to live a life pleasing to God.

What is a Bibliologian?

Biblio- (Web) [Gr. Biblion: see Bible] combining form. 1. Book (s), [bibliophile], 2. Of the Bible (bibliolotry).
-logy  - (Web) [Gr. logos, word, see logic] combining form. 1. a (specified kind of) speaking. 2. Science, doctrine, or theory of (as in biology, theology).
Logic – { < logikos, of speaking or reasoning < logos, a word, reckoning, thought < legein, to speak, choose, read < i.e. base leg-, to gather > L. legere, to collect} 1. The science of correct reasoning; science which describes relationships among propositions in terms of implication, contradiction, contrariety, conversion, etc. see also symbolic logic. 2. Correct reasoning, valid induction or deduction.
logia / logion (logian) – [Sayings < logos, a word} 1. Maxims attributed to a religious leader.
Since biblio means “the Bible” and it’s full of messages and instructions for us; and -logy basically means “the study of” then Bibliology is the study of the messages contained in the Bible.
Since –logy means logic (which is defined as correct reasoning), then “bibliologian” must have the second “L” to be the correct combining form. Anything short of that would change the meaning. The spelling Webster’s provides for “logia” has bibliologian correctly spelled as bibliologion (with a -gion instead of -gian.) Since logia is spelled with an “a” at the end then logian may be just as correct as logion. Either way the definition of bibliologian doesn’t change. Since theologian is spelled with a “-gian” at the end, I went with the same for bibliologian.
Therefore the proper definitions I can come up with for Bibliology and a Bibliologian is as follows:
Bibliology - The study of the messages contained in the Bible.

This word is not found in the dictionary, but it should be as a way for educators to describe the system for studying the biblical messages. This biblical based study system uses the Bible, an exhaustive concordance and various dictionaries as a way to study the Bible contents on a topic by topic basis. Theory, opinion, reasoning, philosophy and theology are NOT USED AT ALl.
Bibliologian – a student or specialist well versed in the books of the Bible and the biblical principles and messages it contains.
Although this word is not found in the dictionary, it should be as a way for people to describe their studies of the Bible and its messages. Being a Bibliologian - that studies the actual Bible messages - gives a much better education than studying the various religious doctrines in the world today that theology is based on.
Theology – (Webster’s) [Gr. See Theo and –logy] 1. The study of religious doctrines and matters of divinity; specifically, the study of God and the relations between God, humankind and the universe. 2. A specific formulation or systemization of religious doctrine or belief as set forth by a given religion or denomination or by one or more individuals.
(Where in the Bible does God give them the authorization to do that?)
Theologian – (Webster’s) A student of or a specialist in theology or of a particular branch, school, etc of theology; often, specifically, a person who expounds (explains) a specific theology or theological doctrine.
In conclusion, being a bibliologian is a far more accurate description of Bible studies. Theology and theologians is the study of God and other religious denominations. It is not the study of the actual Bible and its messages.

Why is There so Much Religious Confusion? And which study system should we use?

Theology – is the study of all other religions and uses theory and philosophy as a basis for the study of God. Theory and philosophy are based on thoughts, opinions, reasoning and feelings of man and are ever changing. Thoughts, opinions, reasoning and feelings of man are different for every man, so the concepts they theorize on are constantly changing. There are no absolutes in their subject contents.

Now lets look up the definitions for opinion, theory, speculate, conjecture, guess, surmise, philosophy, etc.
Opinion –(Webster’s New World Dictionary) A belief not based on absolute certainty or positive knowledge, but on what seems true, valid or probable to one’s own mind.
(Merriam-Webster’s) A belief stronger than impression and less strong than positive knowledge.  Opinion is intellectual idolatry (i.e. people’s opinions being more important than God’s word and teachings).
Further study of the words Theory and Theology also clear up some misconceptions.
Theory – (Standard’s Dictionary) [Gk. Theoria, View, speculation] 1. A plan or scheme existing in the mind only: a speculative or conjectural view of something. (Webster’s) Supposition
put forward to explain something; speculation; exposition of general principles as distinct from practice and execution; general idea; notion. (Merriam-Webster) 1. The general principles drawn
from any body of facts. 2. A plausible or scientifically acceptable general principle offered to explain observed facts. 3. Hypothesis, guess. 4. Abstract thought. Theorize – To form a theory; to speculate.

(Further studies will show that many of the FACTS in the Bible were ignored, like the word Idol).
Idol – (Webster’s) 1. An image of a god, used as an object or instrument of worship. 4. A false notion or idea that causes errors in thinking or reasoning.
Theology – (Standard’s) 1. The study of religion, culminating in a synthesis or philosophy of religion. 2. A body of doctrines as set forth by a particular church or religious group. (Where in the Bible does God give them the authorization to do that?) (Merriam-Webster) 1. The study of religion and of religious ideas and beliefs. 2. A theory or system of theology. (Webster’s) Science which treats of facts and phenomena of religion, and relations between God and man. Theologize – to render theological; to theorize upon theological matters.
It certainly looks like Theory and Theology lead to the same thing.

Now lets look up speculate, conjecture, guess, surmise, and philosophy. (All other underlined words should also be looked up, to help with further clarification. It is amazing what you can learn from a dictionary.)
Speculate – (Standard’s) To form conjectures regarding anything without experiment; theorize; conjecture. (Webster’s) to make theories or guesses.
Conjecture – (Standard’s) To conclude from incomplete evidence; guess, infer. (Webster’s) n. A guess; an opinion founded on insufficient proof; surmise; inference; v.t. to guess, to infer on insufficient grounds; to surmise.
Guess – (Merriam-Webster’s) To form an opinion from little or NO evidence. (Webster’s) To form a judgment or estimate of something without actual knowledge or enough facts for certainty; conjecture; surmise.
Surmise – (Webster’s) 1. An idea or opinion formed from evidence that is neither positive nor conclusive; conjecture, guess
Infer – (M-W)  1. to derive as a conclusion from facts or premises. 2. guess, surmise. 3. to lead to as a conclusion or consequence. 4. hint, suggest. (Webster’s) 1. to bring on or about, cause, induce 2. to conclude or decide from something known or assumed; derive by reasoning; draw as a conclusion. (Reasoning is philosophy)
Philosophy - (Standard’s) 1. The inquiry into the most comprehensive principles of reality in general, or of some sector of it, as human knowledge or human values. 2. The love of wisdom, and the search for it. 2. The study of beliefs regarding God, existence, conduct, thought, and of man’s relation with the universe.
Philosophy leads to theory, speculation, conjecture and guess, and robs and leads us away from the good teachings God and Christ has for us. The Bible clearly tells us not to be spoiled (SEDUCED and ROBBED of salvation) by man’s opinions and theories. (Col 2:8) Our religious relationship and education is supposed to come from God and be with God, not man or the universe.
The thoughts, opinions, philosophies, reasonings and feelings of man on various concepts are always changing – which brings confusion.
God is NOT the author of confusion. (1 Cor 14:33) But man is.
Confusion in this passage is based on Strong’s Concordance (#181G) means – Instability, disorder, tumult.  (Then look up the words for Instability, disorder and tumult too.)
All the definitions for theology, theory, surmise, guess, conjecture, philosophy and all their synonyms show their instability.

Now… Why would any person want to speculate, conjecture, theorize or guess when it comes to their souls, salvation, quality and quantity of life????? And WHY would any person want to leave their salvation in the hands of people who obviously don’t have the wisdom or enough information to teach them how to have a good life or how to get to heaven????????? ESPECIALLY when the information is available in the Bible and all we have to do is read it for our self and let Christ and God lead us with their wonderful wisdom and factual, never changing scriptures.

Now let’s see what bibliology can do for us.

Bibliology – is the study of the Bible messages and uses factual scripture as a basis for the study of  biblical subjects and principles, and dictionaries to define words further.
It is not based on personal thoughts, opinions or feelings. It is based on scriptural facts and is never changing. God doesn’t change, nor does His word. (Mal 3:6)
Using bibliology (using the Bible, concordance and the dictionary only) stops the confusing religious concepts and errors that are being taught in our world today.
2 Pet 1:20 No prophecy (4394G) of the scripture is of any private (2398G) interpretation.(1955G)
Prophecy (4394G) – Prediction (scriptural or other)
Private (2398G) – pertaining to self, i.e. one’s own; by implying private or separate.
Interpretation (1955G) (from 1956G) – explanation. 1956G – to solve further, explain, decide.
Bibliology lets scripture interpret scripture.
As we can see, bibliology is by far the better system to use to study God and His word. It is based on factual, never-changing scriptures and stops all confusion and errors based in theory.
Pastors – If you want a solid biblical foundation to base your ministry and messages on, to be the best leader, and to actually help your church congregants, you are strongly encouraged to use only bibliology to base your studies and sermons on and stay away from the confusing concepts that theology is based on.
